John Hughes’s VFX Beijing, Ltd. (JHVFX) and Soundfirm Studios Beijing, Ltd. are forming their strategic collaborations effective August 1, 2017. John P. Hughes, founder and CEO of John Hughes Institute (JHI), Tau Films and JHVFX, have long dialoged about collaborations in China with Roger Savage the founder and leader of Soundfirm Studios, Ltd. since they met in Beijing in 2015. Mr. Savage have founded and operated Australia sound effect firm for 30+ years.
The collaboration is designated for forming China front operation for marketing and client account management for capacities of JHVFX’s and Soundfirm’s. As China is rapidly growing into a greatest film market in the world and Asia, high-quality visual effect films are well accepted by audience, and China productions are getting higher in production budgets. Soundfirm’s Beijing entity started in 2003, has accumulated many experiences in China post-production industry, and new become a very popular high-quality provider for sound production service provider for international films made in China, as well for China major film productions.
Under the collaboration, Soundfirm starts marketing capacities of Tau Films and JHI’s John Hughes Academy (JHA, its China identity). Under the agreement, the two companies co-market opportunities in VFX/sound production contracts, film/TV creative development and productions, theme park contents, multimedia mixed reality contents and film education.
