WX: World Transformation & China Invention -Dr. Luo’s interests

WX (World Transformation) and China Invention are concepts that always inspired FTC Global’s associates.

WX: The subjects explored on this post category (Wave Castle) are most in orthogonal.

The host of this site and its posts is FTC Global, LLC which was founded by Dr. Peilin Luo (1913-2011) and his younger son Jin Luo.

Dr.Luo leads delegation to US for Beijing Chapter of IEEE

In Dr. Luo’s late years, he felt needed a platform to write, recommend, encourage, publicize and even execute some good China Inventions. Jin and his colleague Cary Ussery a computer scientist, mathematician and musician from Essex, New England, in their expat lives in Beijing at the time were interested in inventing a web magazine of World Transformation (or WX). The concept had their angle that the world’s transformation and inventions would have a growing contribution and influence from China. WX forum could be financially subsidized by FTC Global, Jin’s then newly established small operator for international consulting. While for inventions and technologies FTC Global could act as an agent of their promotion and fundraising. To recognize this synergy, Dr. Luo contributed a nominal amount of CNY investment to FTC Global, thus he became a partner in 2008.

Dr. Luo passed away on April 17, 2011 at age of 98. WX became his partial legacy, however remained as a concept without much progress. People were too busy on the business aspect of the FTC Global. Belatedly Jin started Dr. Luo’s WX blog a week after his passing away, gained first round of some six thousand plus internet readers.

It is our regret that FTC Global could not have acted faster since 2008. Although we are very productive in 2013, on the WX subject it will not be able do well as if we had a leadership of Dr. Luo. Jin believes this is rather a spiritual legacy of Dr. Luo’s. Taking Dr. Luo’s role module through the world’s transformations, it enables us to sense and express more in WX.

We can only manage to follow Dr. Luo’s wisdom and thoughts, with a wish we can achieve a fraction of his expectations. We further extend the contents with what we understood about him. Writing and participating in Laurasian is a dynamic and creative learning process to us. We are encouraged by Dr. Luo’s compassion to the world’s transformation, and with our love to him.

By April 2013, FTC Global published www.laurasian.net in memory to second anniversary of Dr. Luo’s passing away. Besides formalizing many blog contents, it initiated a pipeline of writings and publish. A few of books were to be published by in 2013-2014:
