FTC Global’s international phone numbers, from now on, are for known-contact only. We reluctantly not post phone numbers any more, after a recent IP phone spam attack upon our US office number. For first-time encounter to our services, please instead email or wire a postal letter to us. Sorry for this inconvenience.
I just spent 2 plus hours online discussed with the support division of a leading world IP phone provider (Skype) . There has been nothing they can do agains the flood of spam phone calls coming to my line, triggered by massive and random phone calls from a hiden source imitating one of our international phone numbers.
As an international consultant, this makes me sensed personal and present increasing insecurity of our daily telecommunications. I also experience the trend: more and more associates and friends no longer voice their names and custom greetings at their telephone answering prompts. I felt sad about the “we truly understand you” as posted by the ISP suport, which is a polite way to say: “here we have no control upon our renter’s right of a public phone number that we sold to a customer.”
Sincerely yours, Jin Luo
